NGC 253 (also known as the Silver Dollar, Silver Coin or Sculptor Galaxy) is an intermediate galaxy located at a distance of about 11.4 million light years in the constellation Sculptor.  This galaxy was discovered by Caroline Herschel in 1783.

TELESCOPE:  Orion 100mm ED refractor @ F/18

ISO SETTING:  800

EXPOSURES:  21

EXPOSURE LENGTH:  500sec.

TOTAL EXPOSURE LENGTH:  2hrs. 55min.

SUBTRACTIONS:  10 darkframes, 10 bias frames, 20 flat frames.
