Messier 83 also known as NGC 5236 or the Southern Pinwheel Galaxy, is a barred-spiral galaxy located approximately 15 million light years distant in the constellation Hydra.

CAMERA:  Canon XSI, 450D modified

TELESCOPE:  Celestron C9.25" SCT

MOUNT:  Celestron CGE Pro.

ISO SETTING:  800

EXPOSURES:  33

EXPOSURE LENGTH:  300sec.

TOTAL EXPOSURE LENGTH:  2hrs 45min.

SUBTRACTIONS: 16 dark frames, 20 flat frames, 16 darkflat frames and 10 bias frames.
