Messier 106 (also known as NGC 4258) was discovered by Pierre Mechain in 1781.  M106 is a spiral galaxy located approximately 22-25 million light-years away in the constellation Canes Venatici.

TELESCOPE:  Celestron C9.25" SCT @ F/6.3

MOUNT:  Celestron CGE Pro.

EXPOSURES:  42

EXPOSURE LENGTH:  300sec.

TOTAL EXPOSURE LENGTH:  3hrs 30min.

SUBTRACTIONS: 16 dark frames and 10 bias frames.

CAPTURE: MaximDL

STACKING/PRE-PROCESSING: Deep Sky Stacker
